Places to eat around here which we think are good and reasonably priced:
The Terrace Arts Café, Seaton (at the front overlooking Fishermans Gap).
Great food, very comfortable, cheerful helpful staff. The food is vegetarian, some is vegan. Coffee is excellent and it does have a license. They do have a balcony seating area outside which seems fairly well protected from the wind.
The Hideaway Café, Esplanade Seaton. At the far west end of the Esplanade. So either a nice level walk along the Esplanade or you can access if from the cliff gardens (slightly aerobic). Very comfortable (with additional seating outside overlooking the beach). Great food, lovely cakes, great coffee. Very pleasant staff.
Not totally sure of their opening hours – something like 10 to 5 and open 2 evenings a week but their telephone number (0129724292) is useful.
The Garden Centre in Colyton has a good café. It opens 9 to 5 every day in the year apart from Christmas but check (King St, Colyton EX24 6PD. 01297 551113. Again very comfortable, reasonably priced drinks and food. Comfortable. Parking.
At Axmouth there is The Ship Inn. Good quality pub food. Friendly & helpful staff. Children friendly (!). Good range on menu. Good ale! (I think it does close between 3 pm & 5.30)
and
The Harbour Inn. Good pub food, spacious and comfortable. Nice gardens. Open from 10 am to 11 pm (9 pm for food for drinks). Food served nearly all day (also does breakfasts).
If you are in Harbour Inn Lyme Regis then at the Cobb end is The Harbour Inn. Good Coffee, Good Ale, Great for Sitting Uut. Maybe the food prices are a bit high but there you go. Very good foo.
